Biographical Information

Sarah is responsible for faculty development in support of Blackboard and Instructional Design at Muskegon Community College as an employee of Sungard Higher Education. In her prior role as Director of Instructional Technology from 2000-2006 at University of Detroit Mercy, she served in an active leadership and support for all online course development and related functions created an environment for moving teaching and learning into a technology-based setting, either fully distance or using technology to support and enhance classroom based teaching. Sarah has served as a librarian, and has directed electronic resources utilization and instructional technology programs in corporate education and libraries. In addition, she has also served as adjunct faculty member teaching Nursing Informatics, both online and in a classroom format, and "Teaching Principles for Healthcare Professionals" in the School of Dentistry's Continuing Education Program. She has also served in a variety of corporate marketing roles. She holds a B.A. degree in Education from Western Michigan University, earned a M.B.M. degree in Marketing from Aquinas College and a M.L.I.S. degree from Wayne State University, and a Certificate in Spirituality from the Swedenborgian School of Religion. Sarah was a recipient of the Student Writing Award from the Department of Library and Information Science while at Wayne State University. She joined the University in 2001.

Sarah is available for consulting work in instructional techology and teaching in educational settings through her company, Comput-Ease Solutions.
