Biography
Sarah Swart has expertise in teaching and director of
distance education and instructional technology. After nearly six
years of service with the University of Detroit Mercy, serving as the
Director of Instructional Technology in the Libraries/Instructional
Design Studio, and as Instructional Design Specialist in Muskegon
Community College's Center for Teaching and Learning. In addition, she
taught Healthcare Informatics as Adjunct Faculty in the Bachelor of
Science Completion Program in the College of Health Professions and
both Instructional Technology and Children's Literature in the
Education Department. She also has taught three distance education
courses as part of a program, "Teaching Principles for Healthcare
Professionals" in the Continuing Education program for the Advanced
Institute of Dental Education at UDM. While at the University, Sarah
led a group of instructional designers in faculty development for
teaching with technology. She served on numerous committees and teams
at the University and in the AJCU organization.
